MIPCube Lab, the one and only B2B startup competition for tech companies offering television and online video solutions, announces today the 5 finalists selected to pitch their services during MIPTV, in Cannes, France, on 7 April 2014.
For the fourth year running, MIPTV is hosting the MIPCube Lab startup competition, a unique opportunity for startups to pitch their services, promote their company and secure new customers.
The MipCube Lab 2014 finalists are:
Grabyo (UK) – Grabyo is a real time video company offering broadcasters and content rights holders the opportunity to share video clips (captured from live broadcast TV and video feeds) across Twitter, Facebook, the web and mobile in real-time. Viewers and fans get to access the best moments from TV whenever, and wherever, they are. Rights holders can monetise this experience through integrated advertising and sponsorship.
MyCastingNet (Australia) – Production companies and networks around the world use MyCastingNet to collect, manage and store casting information for their Reality, Factual, Documentary and Game Show programs.
New Velocity Media (US) – Multipop is the new media player by Galahad that integrates real-time social interaction, content extensions, and e-commerce into the viewing experience-all without disrupting the video content. Using Multipop ensures the viewer is never taken away from the main content but is still offered the full interactivity of multiple platforms, helping content owners build community and monetize effectively.
Parrot Analytics (US) – Parrot Analytics enables TV content creators, buyers and sellers to make accurate, data-driven decisions relating to content production, global distribution and region-specific content acquisition strategies.
TVTY (France) – TVTY partners with ad networks, trading desks, media agencies, ad servers and DSPs to concentrate media firepower. The company specializes in real-time data for the online advertising industry. Their technology monitors TV channels, detects TV ads and triggers online campaigns in real-time. The TVTY product offering consists of solutions to sync online campaigns with TV ads. Clients include Microsoft, Nespresso…
Selected in partnership with the innovation agency Fabernovel, the 2014 MIPCube Lab finalists will pitch to a Jury of TV decision-makers, composed of heads of digital and/or heads of new media from broadcasters & production companies from around the world:

The jury will select the most promising start-up in the TV/video marketplace and the winner will be announced at MIPTV at the end of the pitching session.
MIPCube Lab has become a powerful launch platform for startups, many of whom have subsequently helped shape the new industry ecosystem, including Israeli company Stevie and Jilion, recently acquired by Dailymotion.
All 2014 finalists will benefit from feedback from experienced decision-makers and meet with potential business partners and investors. They will receive personal coaching sessions provided by Fabernovel and will have the opportunity to showcase their solution to MIPTV’s audience in the “MIPCube Village” demo space.
